Youth Soccer Insider: The Conflicting Models

We encourage every coach (and parent) to read the article

Why Goal safety is important!

10 year old boy is killed by goal...read article

Goals need to be anchored and are not climbing toys

1. Coaches should inspect goals prior to any activity to make sure they are secured. Special attention is needed at practices.

2. All clubs/leagues should implement a goal safety program.

3. Coaches need to warn players and all parents of the dangers of goal posts.

4. Parents need to be attentive and responsible for their children.

5. Do not allow horseplay on or around goals.

6. Referees should inspect goals prior to a game.

Let's make sure a tragedy like this does not occur in Arkansas. It is everyone's responsibility!

Tune in for the US Youth Soccer Show on Fox Soccer Channel.
