President's Cup

IMPORTANT:  ASSA is NOT affiliated with any sports' hotel booking agency.  Teams do not have to book through a booking agency to reserve a room for our state cups.

Here is our list of preferred hotels:  You will work directly with the hotel (no third party)

Location: Burns Park, North Little Rock, AR

Fees

  • $350 if submitted on or before March 15, 2010
  • $400 if submitted between March 16 and March 31, 2010
  • $450 if submitted after March 31, 2010. We reserve the right not to accept late registrations.

Players

  • U11 - U19: Level 2 recreational or all-star teams, level 3 classic teams. Coed & Girls

Secondary players are allowed to play if their primary team is not participating in the cup. Changes to the roster must be made on or before May 14, 2010

Gold and Silver Division

Offered in the U11 - U13 age groups. The winner of the gold division will be declared the state champion. Each silver division must have a minimum of three teams in order to form. Teams may be moved to the gold division if minimum number of teams is not achieved. The cups committee reserves the right to move a team to the gold division if they believe it will better balance the divisions.

President's Cup is designed for level 2 and level 3 teams. The level of competition is higher than the American Cup. Teams usually play three games in addition to the finals.

Coaching Licenses Required

  • "E" license for level 2 teams
  • "D" license for level 3 teams

Teams CANNOT enter both President's Cup and the AR State Championships.  You must decide which cup is most appropriate for your team.

Advancement

Winners from the President's Cup (ages U13 - U17) may advance to the Region III President's Cup, June 10 - 13, 2010 in Broken Arrow, OK. Teams must decide at the conclusion of the President's Cup whether or not they will participate in the Region III President's Cup.
